Independence Day Celebration

Independence Day Celebration

With the lack of rain, and the storms that hit up near the lake (our normal July 4th hang out) we decided to hang near the house for America's Birthday. Ben was off work so we woke up slow, made a big breakfast and then hung out for a while. The boys cleaned up the kitchen and then we invited the neighbor, Dakota (he is a year younger than Steven and plays football for Ben) to go to the pool!

Steven and I stumbled on the Ouabache State Park and Pool last week and we fell in love with it! So we took another trip to the pool in the early afternoon. It was busy and there were no chairs left! That's ok, Ben and I set up on the ground and read our books and cooled off in the water while Dakota and Steven stayed in the water the whole time!

Told you it was busy!
After the pool we headed home and made an early dinner! Grilled steaks, green beans and baked potatoes. We cleaned up, we all took power naps and then headed to the Tin Caps Baseball game in Fort Wayne. It was hot and packed, but an all American experience. Of course there were fireworks afterwards!

It was a great day celebrating of freedom, history and independence! Happy 4th of July to everyone.
